& BOOKING POLICIES

Bookings & Payments:

  • Due to overwhelming demand, cookie art and custom orders require a 2-week minimum lead time. Please note we book up quickly, to secure your date and book your order a 50% non-refundable non-transferrable retainer is required as we are turning away other orders for that same date. The balance in full is due 2-weeks prior to your event. At the 2-week mark the remaining balance must be paid in full. Failure to pay will result in forfeiture of your deposit and order cancellation. Once your order has been secured and deposits paid your order has been successfully booked.

  • You understand that , and the details specified on our books are what we will create. Should you wish to have samples made in advance that option is available to you below. Any modifications to quantity or design must be submitted in writing in shop or via email to blueacesbakeshoppe@gmail.com

  • The date of your final payment is the final date for any changes of size, style or flavors of the order.Any changes requested after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges.All change orders must be submitted in writing and approved.

  • If, for any reason, we cannot provide an item we will contact you as soon as we become aware and offer an alternative substitute

Date Changes & Cancellations:

  • Date changes will only be honored within 24 hours of your initial booking. Unfortunately, we do not offer date changes as part of our booking policy as each order is specific to the date requested; our timeslots are limited which forces us to turn away other bookings in order to secure your spot on our calendar. A change in date will require a cancellation and forfeiture of your original deposit; to book a new date a new deposit and a booking would be required.

Pickup:

  • Upon pick up, you are accepting your order is to your satisfaction. You may designate another to pick up your order, however, by doing so you grant them permission to review and accept the order on your behalf.

  • While Blue Aces Bake Shoppe promises you the best product and service we can provide, we cannot be held responsible for damage to any items once it has left our shop; and therefore, you assume all liability and responsibility for the order once it leaves our facility.

  • If delivered, we are not responsible for any damage to the cake/custom order after setup is complete.  You are responsible for providing an appropriate table and environment for the cake/custom order.  Please note cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit or below.Do not place your items in direct sunlight.

  • We are not liable for any delay or damage caused directly or indirectly by weather conditions, accidents, fire, failure of manufacturers to deliver and any other events beyond our reasonable control.

Artistic Styling:

  • At Blue Aces, our decorated cookies and custom creations are individual handmade pieces of art. While we encourage our clients to provide artistic inspiration; pictures, invitations, party ware, Pinterest, etc. you understand that these images are inspiration only, we do not copy the art of others but will incorporate specific elements in our own artistic way. You are hiring us not based on another’s work, but on our own artistic style. You agree to entrust us with full artistic creativity to do what is artistically necessary to provide the highest quality product and best design reminiscent of your inspiration; please be advised certain minor design elements must be made at the discretion of the baker/artist in what elements will work best.

  • We often use edible glitters, dusts, metallic leaf and paint; We may also use ribbon in our designs or dowel supports in our cakes which are non-edible elements. If you would like to decline these accents, please specify. You will be notified of any inedible items on the cake/custom order and it is your responsibility to pass this information on to your guests.  When possible, we will notify your venue at the time of delivery.

  • If fresh flowers are to be used on your cake/custom order these must be provided by a florist; you acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product and may contain pesticides, insects and/or insecticides, dirt and/or other contaminants. Confirm with your florist safe, food-friendly selections.

Color Matching:

  • Color matching is not a precise science and different sugar substrates take color differently. Blue Aces Bake Shoppe will do everything possible to match provided color swatches, but sometimes it is not possible to make a 100% perfect color match. Some colors are just not achievable using food grade dyes. Blue Aces Bake Shoppe cannot match a “verbal” color or a color sent via electronic device, as all monitors display color differently. To attempt a color match, you must provide a color swatch 7-days in advance of the event. You understand that cookie saturation and screening is an automated process.  The image provided is used as is with no alterations.  Due to supplies and ink dye lots there may be slight variance hue, saturations, clarity etc.  We are committed to providing a quality product. 

Samples:

  • Please see our current tasting box schedule for cake or gourmet dessert item tasting boxes.Tastings are hosted on designated weekdays.Cookie Art: glazed sugar cookies are available daily in our bakery to taste test at no charge. If you would like artistic samples they are available for purchase at $20 per pair; samples must be ordered 4 weeks prior to your event date.   • It is usual for us to photograph our cake/custom orders and we reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you.

Allergens:

  • Our products may contact milk, wheat, nuts and soy and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for any allergic reactions.Food allergies must be disclosed by final payment in order to ensure special handling methods applicable to any dietary requests.

  • If you are not entirely happy with the baked quality of your cake/custom order you must return it to us within 48 hours of the event date.  We cannot assume responsibility for complaints where a taste sample is not provided.

Cancellation Policy 

If your event is cancelled or postponed and you no longer require our services, the following cancellation policy and payment forfeiture applies:
